The Neighborhood School is a Pre-K through 8th grade Christian school located in the Binghampton area of Memphis. The students are children who live in Binghampton, a neighborhood with high crime and with families living below the poverty level. The Neighborhood School exists to be used by God to bring hope to the most hopeless of inner city children and their families by seeking to lead them to Christ as we nurture them spiritually, mentally, and physically so that they may become productive, self-supporting, and godly citizens.  (Website: http://www.tnsmemphis.org)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Children Need Love

The Neighborhood School is full of promising young faces who share their need for love by offering many hugs to those who volunteer. Our volunteers do everything from serving lunch to being classroom sponsors, tutoring, teaching art and music…you name it, they do it. All of our teachers are highly qualified and appreciate the mission of The Neighborhood School.

 

 

 

 

School Programs

We also serve these children in other ways. The Food Services Program provides daily breakfasts, lunches, and snacks. The After School Enrichment Program offers tutoring and life skills development. The Boarding Program offers a loving, supportive, orderly environment with special opportunities for academic, cultural, and spiritual growth.
