Pete serves on the elder body as a visionary elder and is responsible for facilitating the total ministry and mission of Living Hope in accordance with elder direction. He also oversees the work of the church staff as Directional Pastor at Living Hope-encouraging and exhorting them in their area of calling and giftedness. Pete is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and Golden Gate Theological Seminary in California. He, along with his wife Mary Kay, has served God through local church ministry for almost 30 years.

Gib joined the Living Hope staff in December 2006 after accepting the call to be primary teaching pastor. He and his wife, Jill, are originally from Oklahoma, where Gib graduated from Southern Nazarene University. As teaching pastor at Living Hope, Gib aims to teach Jesus from all of Scripture, knowing that the Gospel alone creates real change, community, and mission. Gib and Jill reside in north Mississippi with their two daughters, Reese and Libby.

ejoey Joey Goforth - jgoforth@lhchurch.com

Joey was born and raised in Memphis.  He and his wife Joanna are in their 6th year of marriage. They have 2 young children, Ella and Seth, and a baby girl due in July 2009. Joey is an Engineering Manager for Coleman Technologies and lives in Collierville.  “I want to be used by God to draw others to Him, and in the process have myself grow into a deeper relationship with Him.  I see this exemplified in Scripture through loving everyone, serving their needs, and building real and deep relationships through discipleship.”

David and his wife Denise are both from the Memphis area and have been married since 1976. They have three grown children–Scott and his wife Brandi, Shea and his wife Catherine, and a daughter Rachel. David graduated from the University of Memphis and works for Smith & Nephew, an orthopedic device manufacturer. He and Denise have led a small group since coming to Living Hope several years ago. David loves building relationships while encouraging others in their faith, and God has given him a heart for small group ministry and missions. He and Denise love spending time with family and friends.  David also enjoys cycling and music-especially worshiping through music at Living Hope.

Kyle Kerrigan – kkerrigan@lhchurch.com

Kyle and Elyssa have been married for 3 1⁄2 years and have one son, Asher, age 1. Kyle is employed by Fed-Ex in the Finance Department. He and Elyssa serve in Hope Park and are leaders of a small group. “We really enjoy the people at LHC and got connected to a small group quickly and developed community with ease,” shares Kyle. “We appreciate the Gospel-Centeredness of Living Hope’s ministries.”

Alan May – amay@lhchurch.com

Alan has been married to Pam for 19 years. As a missionary to the Refugee Empowerment Program, he serves the refugee community in Binghampton by tutoring students and teaching English as a second language to adults. He and Pam serve in Hope Park, are small group leaders, and are Mission Team Leaders to Kenya. Alan shares, “LHC is where we are connected with others who share our values and our desire to love God, live in community, and serve our world.”

ejon Jon Reesman – jreesman@lhchurch.com

Jon is originally from Nashville, but moved to Memphis in 1985 to attend college at Rhodes. While there he met his future wife, Vivian, and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. After graduation and marriage in 1989, Jon and Vivian left Memphis for 12 years of service in the Air Force, returning to the area in 2001. While they were away, they were blessed with two children, Ashley and Jon Jr. Although a pilot by profession, Jon is a teacher at heart. His passion is to teach the Gospel to children and adults of all ages. Jon and Vivian teach 5th and 6th grade students on Sunday morning in “Grapple” and lead a small group in their home.

Robert Shearon – rshearon@lhchurch.com

Robert and Shannon have been married for 13 years and have two daughters, Parker, age 9, and Maggie, 6. He is employed by Pyramex Safety Products in Marketing and International Sales. They serve in the student ministry and are about to begin leading a small group. He also serves on our LH360 team. Robert explains, “We were led by God to LHC. It was clear to us that this is the community of believers that He wanted us to be a part of, to serve with, and to see our girls grow up in. It is exciting to see what God has done at LHC over the past several years, and I believe He has great plans for us as a body.”
